Eve of New Year 2013 with Mr. Thai Raci

Year 2013 started with a nice meet

Chennai Based Youth Welfare Organization ‘YUVA SHAKTHI’ provided me this venture to meet such a good person. On 31^st day of December (Year 2012 is to cease) I started to Neyveli accompanied by Mr.Vinod Raghav. We reached there by evening around 6pm; we prefer to walk to reach the place rather than hiring an auto which almost provided a chance of interacting with 3-4 local people. It almost provided a Heroic introduction to Mr.Thai Raci Jagatheeswaran and his Activities. We had nice interaction with him, took a short trip to nearby Natraja Swamy Temple (Asia’s Largest Dancing Shiva Statue), had dinner together and started our return trip the same night. The eve of New Year almost in a Bus Travel, started my thought to process diverse ideas.

iii.                In 1993 – at his 18^th year of age – Started தாய் தொண்டு மையம்

iv.                In 1998 – Started குழந்தைகள் இல்லம் ( Student were sent to nearby schools – to keep them away from external distraction and to provide them with quality education – decide to start school)

i.                    2004 – இராமகிருஷ்ண மிஷன் 12வது மாநில மாநாடு -  Award

ii.                  2005 – Best Social Worker Award from Society for Social Forum (Delhi Based Org.)

iii.                1998, 2009, 2011 – Awards from Manidaneyam Membattu Maiyam.

iv.                Student completed M.Phil. on his கவிதை தொகுப்பு

v.                  பட்டிமன்ற நடுவர் in பொதிகை & தமிழன் டி.வி.

Reason:

During School Days – Status of Schools in Villages – Motivated me to enter this field

(Being in a NLC school, I was unaware of the status of school outside – while attending கலைகழக போட்டிகள், I came to know about it)

Vision:

”குழந்தைகள் இல்லமே இருக்க கூடாது” – என்பது என் இலட்சியமாயினும் – பட்ட காயதுக்கு மருந்து போடுவது மிக அவசியமானது.

Mission: it can be achieved only by inculcating moral values in them.

i.                    Moral Instruction Classes based on Thirukkural (அறத்துப்பால் & பொருட்பால்) and framing a curriculum based on that.

ii.                  Currently conducting Thirukkural competition – 1000 participant every year and 10 prizes – (Awarded them அகர முதல்வன் & அகர முதல்வி)

Donation and Fund Raiser

i.                    புரவலர் திட்டம் – for நிவேதிதா Magazine.

ii.                  2005 – Raj TV – அகட விகடன் – Annual Day program / Fund Raiser Event.

iii.                Magazine – சந்தா 100/year.

iv.                Material Contribution from University Friends and Area People.

a.       Food – Rs.500 for Lunch or Rs.1000/Day.

b.      New Dresses for special occasion from regular contributors.

Inspiration and Driving force:

Swami Vivekananda and Valluvan Kural

For Future Generation:

i.                     நற்பண்புள்ள மனிதர்களை உருவாக்க வேண்டும்

(I recommend THIRUKKURAL for Youth – it is the source for anything and everything and I stress up on moral values)

ii.                  Gandhiji and Netaji are the Heroes of Indian Independence struggle but still uprising of Youth power hasten the process (e.g. Bhagat singh’s 5000 Pamphlets of கேலாத செவிகள் கேட்கட்டும்)
